Nautilocalyx glandulifer
Nautilocalyx glandulifer is an endemic species to Ecuador. The leaves are black on the top and purple on the bottom. They are covered with dense short purple hairs. It has a short and branching growth habit. The flowers are white with purple markings on the upper petals. This is a member of the African Violet family and care most be taken to keep it out of cold drafts and do not water with cold water.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 55 to 95 degrees, 6 to 8 inches tall, allow getting slightly dry between watering, water with room temperature water.
