Aeschynanthus radicans
Aeschynanthus radicans is what is usually called the “Lipstick Plant”. The oval leaves are dark green thick and succulent and develop on long trailing stems. This plant makes an exotic blooming hanging basket. The flowers as they develop look like a tube of lipstick. The calyx is black and the petals are bright red. This is an easy plant to grow and bloom. Give it a little extra humidity and lots of bright light. This plant is sensitive to cool drafts and water with room temperature water.
