Begonia ‘Lots of Dots’

Begonia ‘Lots of Dots’ is a beautiful cane-like begonia. It was created in the early 1990’s by Dorothy Caviness of Mustang, Oklahoma, a very prolific hybridizer.

This hybrid has been out of circulation for quite some time, but we recently added it to our collection, courtesy of Doug Pridgen in Florida.

The leaves are the typical angel wing shape, dark green and covered with many small dots, hence the name ‘Lots of Dots’. The back of the leaf is red. It has a somewhat spreading growth habit and nice clusters of white flowers.

Care of Begonia ‘Lots of Dots’:

  • Bright, indirect light
  • 45 to 95 degrees
  • Humidity 40 to 60%
  • 3 to 4 feet tall
  • Water when top two inches of soil are dry

Family: Begoniaceae

This plant is shipped in a 3.5 inch pot.
