Begonia manicata aureo-maculata
Begonia manicata aureo-maculata is a robust rhizomatous type begonia whose thick chartreuse green leaves are spotted with yellow and white variegation. Due to these spots it is sometimes knows as the “Leopard begonia.” The non variegated form of B. manicata was crossed with B. hydrocotylifolia to create the famed Beefsteak begonia (B. ‘Erythrophylla’) that features the same red haired petioles found on this plant.
