Begonia variegata (Grey Form) is a new rhizomatous species from Yunnan, China. The leaves are large and look a lot like the “Iron Cross” begonia. The leaf is light green with a chocolate brown iron cross in the center and a dark brown band around the leaf margin. The texture of the leaf surface is blistered. This is a slow growing species that is very unusual. An invalid synonym for this species is B. masoniana var. maculata.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 45 to 95 degrees, 12 to 15 in. tall, allow getting slightly dry between watering.
