Ceropegia woodii variegata
Ceropegia woodii var. ‘Variegata’ is the variegated form of the classic “String of Hearts.” The leaves are olive green with gray mottling and a white variegation on the leaf edge. In sun and bright light the white variegated parts of the leaf develop a pink tint. Other common names for this succulent vine are, “Rosary Vine,” “Chain of Hearts,” and “Hearts Entangled”. This African native is easy to grow and can hang 10ft from the pot, the small heart shaped leaves line the stems. As the plant matures it forms small gray tubers on some of the stem nodes, this is what forms the “Rosary”. Give this plant lots of light or direct sun and let it get dry between watering. This is an elegant form of the species.
