Pereskia aculeata cv. ‘Godseffiana’ variegata
This is a primitive cactus that has not evolved to lose its leaves. This true cactus has beautiful golden leaves with a green center. When young the waxy leaves have a pinkish tint to them. The growth habit is vining and can grow to 25 ft in length. It is a native to the West Indies and is sometimes called “Barbados Gooseberry” or “Lemon Vine”. The flowers are white and it has an edible fruit. This plant makes a beautiful hanging basket. It will grow in sun to partial shade and allow it to get dry between waterings.

Shade to partial sun, temp. 45 to 100 degrees, vine to 20 ft. Allow to get fairly dry between waterings.
