Solanum pseudocapsicum variegata is a member of the nightshade family commonly known as the Jerusalem cherry or Madeira winter cherry. This plant produces small orange fruit, cultivated for ornamental value only as the fruit are mildly poisonous if ingested. It is a bushy, evergreen shrub that enjoys full sun and regular watering.
